I Fell And Injured Myself In Asda Supermarket, Do I Have a Claim?

Tuesday October 4, 2011 at 6:38am

On 11th July 2011 I slipped and fell down while shopping in Asda supermarket. The floor was wet but I could not tell whether the substance on the surface was water or some other spillage. There were no warning signs of any kind near the area where I slipped.

I hurt my back badly which resulted in me ending up in the Accident and Emergency Department of the local hospital and then being off work without pay but I received statutory sick pay (SSP).

I am still at home in pain and discomfort. I have been paying for expensive treatment to get my back better but I have now run out of money and I have had to stop the treatment due to it being too costly. I am seriously concerned about my health.

My partner is currently doing all she can to look after me. She is doing all the household chores. I am worried about the finances of my family and my children because my partner had to give up her part-time job to care for me.

Do I have a claim against Asda supermarket?

How much will it cost to make a claim?

No warning signs? Did you get treated by staff at ASDA? It'll be on record. You have nothing to lose. Talk to someone!
