A man is claiming compensation from Quinn Direct insurance company following an accident in a taxi in February last year.
John Faulk was travelling in a black taxi cab when the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a central reservation in Bolton Street, London.
He suffered serious bodily injuries including a broken nose, loss of teeth and needed emergency surgery to relieve the pressure on his left eye. He was in terrible pain.
According to the Evening Standard, despite spending thousands of dollars on reconstructive surgery to the left side of his face, the father of three was left with just 30% per cent of his left eye vision.
Mr. Falk has issued a claim against Michael Glassman, the director of the black cab firm, Colts.
The taxi was insured by Quinn Direct insurance company. The insurers have failed to settle the injury claim although they have admitted responsibility for the cab accident.
There may be a reduction in the compensation Mr. Falk will eventually receive because it is alleged by the taxi firm that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
