A 38 year old construction worker who was seriously injured in a fall at work has secured a compensation package worth millions of pounds. The construction worker was working for Laing O’Rourke Construction Ltd. at a hospital in Newcastle. Adrian Evens, Andrew Oliver and John Long have been fined a total of £5,000 after Mr David Pass suffered serious injuries in an accident when he fell eight meters through a barn roof in Greater Manchester. An Oldham property developer has been fined £2,000 for putting the lives of local residents at risk after he ignored two formal safety warnings. Mr Mahmood Khokhar, 29, of Fern Street in Oldham was prosecuted by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for failing to make an excavation safe in a residential area.
